The Opportunity
Are you a fashion enthusiast with a flair for detail and a drive for excellence? We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyers Assistant to join our Womenswear, Footwear & Accessories team in our Melbourne CBD office.
In this dynamic role, you’ll support the buying team in curating and managing seasonal collections, translating global trends into commercially successful assortments. This is the perfect entry point for someone eager to break into the world of fashion buying and make an impact in an iconic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify key fashion trends and customer preferences.
- Analyse sales, inventory, and customer data to inform buying decisions and strategy.
- Work closely with Buyers and Merchandisers to support range planning and supplier management.
- Attend fashion trade shows, events, and vendor meetings to stay ahead of market trends.
- Assist in crafting compelling product stories for campaigns and in-store presentations.
What We're Looking For
- A strong interest in fashion and retail trends, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with data tools is a plus.
- A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field is highly desirable.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
