Are you a strategic thinker with a practical approach to data management? We’re looking for a Data Governance and Compliance Manager to lead the development and implementation of our data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring data quality, privacy, and compliance with regulations while addressing key issues within our data estate. What does the role involve?

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives.
  • Establish frameworks, standards, and policies to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
  • Review, update, and communicate data governance and compliance policies across the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and address data governance risks.
  • Work with the Cyber team to manage data security risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor data governance and compliance metrics.
  • Define and implement data quality standards and metrics.
  • Automate monitoring and reporting on data quality issues.
  • Promote best practices for data quality management and ensure metrics are integrated into data platforms.
  • Partner with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to align data governance with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber security team to deliver training on data confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad).
  • Implement data security protocols in alignment with cybersecurity principles.
  • Establish and maintain controls to ensure data accuracy, availability, and security.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in data governance, management, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record in developing and implementing data governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with data governance tools and technologies.
